I am using WinXP Pro SP1 with all latest patches, the latest catalyst drivers and the latest nForce2 drivers. I am not sure about the BIOS version but I can check that when I get home. I am running the system with all automatic BIOS settings at present, just until I get things working properly!

Maybe it hangs because it wants to install the Graphic Drivers (I had this problem). So cancel the installation and rename the Graphics Driver folder (It was exctracted to a subfolder of the Extraction Location you specified at the beginning). Then reboot and run the Installation from the Extracted location again.

Cannot install nforce2 drivers on my 8rda+
(6 is the number of usb ports I have) Nothing happens when I plug a usb device in. There are no options in the bios relating to my problem that I can see. I've tried updating the firmware, the latest nforce2 drivers, searched ms and google, and can't find an answer. Any help would be appreciated. Charlie.

But when I try installing the drivers from NVIDIA it doesn't work, especially the drivers for my NIC. I think they are only for kernels 2.4.20-2.4.23. But I suspect som of you more able guys out there have your computers running 2.6.0-11test with working nforce drivers? Got any hints or solutions to my dilemma?

The only thing that seems a little odd to me is the fact that when I installed the nForce2 drivers the audio drivers were updated! So perhaps the MCP chip (without the "-T") included in this mobo has a Realtek circuitry instead a Soundstorm one... How did you ascertain that the audio drivers were updated?

You should not use SW/IDE drivers, it should use nForce MCPT ones. Try to update the drivers then browse it to IDE's folder created when you run nForce2 drivers installation (downloaded from nVidia) 2. Use update drivers in IDE Controller under device manager, then browse it to that folder.
