Problems with Nforce2 drivers
After installing nforce2 motherboard drivers (1.16 or 2.03) windows device manager says my geforce 4 4600 graphics card is in pci slot 2 ???? Directx diagnostics shows that agp texture acceleration is enabled though....and if I use detonator drivers above 40.72 almost every game gets jerky and slow performance.

A little help needed...A7N8X - new nforce2 drivers???
Ben I agree with you and I guess you're right. The only thing that seems a little odd to me is the fact that when I installed the nForce2 drivers the audio drivers were updated! So perhaps the MCP chip (without the "-T") included in this mobo has a Realtek circuitry instead a Soundstorm one... Dimitri.

Only about an order of magnitude :-p The 1.1.6 package, is IIRC, somewhere between the nVidia 2.00 and 2.03 releases, ie, JUST after the advent of the nForce2 platform. There were many problems with Audio back then (although *I* never noticed them from 2.03 onwards). Since then there have been massive improvements

iT alt os linux mandrake You don't understand what I mean ;) No Video drivers (no problems with them) but CHIPSET drivers... on nForce2 based boards we need chipset drivers for having Lan More, for sound I think we need modified drivers by asus, since only asus's nforce2 drivers made sound working into Windows.

Whilst copying large files from my main HD to the new one it was locking up and freezing. The only weird solution i found was that the new HD didn't have its jumpers set to be a Slave. Yes, very weird i know, when i set the jumpers to be a Slave and re-installed the nForce2 drivers (and IDE drivers) everything

The nvidia site has some new nforce2 drivers. How should I install the new drivers? Over the old ones? When I uninstall the old ones the screen goes blank so that's trouble Also, right now in my programs list I have: Nvidia audio driver, nForce utilities, XP display drivers and XP nForce drivers listed.

I installed the Nforce2 drivers off of the cd that came with my A7N8X Deluxe mb. MS CFS3 is running fine now, so it appears that fixed that particular problem.
